Coat feat Shoes

The weather in England has not been too good the past couple days, and it is making me long for chilly autumn days were everyone is wrapped up in cosy scarves, big coats, lots of layers and more substantial footwear. This post is inspired by my longing for this; as I have begun searching for some A/W winter pieces - mainly coats and shoes.

Here are three coat and shoe combos - all shoes are from Spy Love Buy

Coat: Missguided - Emila Zip Detail Biker Coat - £44.95
Shoes: Spy Love Buy - Zandro Block Heel Platform Chelsea Ankle Boot - £32.95

Black coat + black boots = perfect A/W outfit.

Coat: Topshop - Bleach Borg Denim Jacket - £58
Shoes: Spy Love Buy - Josephine Lace Up Platform Creeper Sneaker - £21.95

A lined denim jacket looks effortlessly cool on a warmer autumns day, and I love the edge creepers give any outfit.

Coat: Whistles - Holly Longline Coat - £295
Shoes: Spy Love Buy - Thunder Block Heel Tractor Tread Mule Shoes - £42.95

I just really want a long, duster style, coat for the colder weather and I love these monster heels to go with it.

Lots of love, Nikki. xxxxx

OOTD - Topshop Skirt

Asymmetric Black Skirt - Topshop
Breton Stripe Top - H&M
Black chunky cut out shoes - River Island
Gold, Silver & Bronze Midi Rings - Topshop

I've finished my ban of no shopping, so I popped into Topshop yesterday as I had a gift card and bought this skirt, £20, and the pack of three midi rings, which were on sale for £2.50. I'm wearing this outfit today; with tights as it's a bit chilly; I'll add a leather jacket for a night look later on.

Lots of love, Nikki xxxxx

Black Boot Collection

I never post much about the things I actually own (as I'm too focused on what I want than the things I have). But I thought it'd be nice to mix it up and show you lovely guys some of my shoes; which are mostly black boots, the focus of todays post (and now I sound like a lecturer).

These are from River Island, and they are chunky black cut out ankle boots with gold buckle details. I can't find them online, so they might not sell them anymore, but I got them last October and they were around £40 I believe. I rarely wear these, but I do really like them, and after wearing them around in my room for a bit for this post I have rediscovered why I bought them. Personally, I think they look best with rolled up leggings or jeans, with cute little socks, but they work well with dresses and tights.

These are probably my most worn black boots, and they are from Boohoo.com. Again, I can't find them online, but Boohoo.com do so many different styles of cut out boots and at a really good price so I'd advise checking them out if you want some good cut out boots. I wear these with everything, and the cut out sides let's me show off my glittery socks that I love so much!

These are from New Look, and I got them around September 2012. The soles of one of these shoes is superglued on though, as these are not very waterproof, but I just wanted some black boots that were a bit edgy and different and these were a great price too. Again, New Look is a great place for affordable shoes!

I think these were my first proper heels, and I got them when I was like 15 (3 years ago) from New Look for a friends 16th birthday. I do love wedges, as they are super comfy, and I clearly like black and gold, so these are perfect for me. Although I do have quite wide feet, so I do get slight discomfort after wearing these for a long time. These are just really cute, and affordable and have lasted me a good time!

I believe these are from Daisy Street, and again I'm not sure of the price, but you can probably get this style of shoe in most high street stores. I just really liked the little stud buttony gold things all over the shoe, cause they look really cool. And they are actually so comfy! I last all night in these when I go out in them, and they slip on and off really easily. I also think these are good for day time, cause they are walkable and look cool with casual outfits.

So that is a bit of my shoe collection; I hope you liked this post, and hopefully I can do more like this. Also, I hope you appreciate my really cute fairy lights and purple carpet! :D
Lots of love, Nikki. xxxxx

Ps, I apologise for the mud on some of my boots. The weather in England has only started to dry up, and that mud is very stubborn! But you know, it gives a good worn look ;)

Summer Wish List

Carrying on from my last post, I am in such a summery mood and really can't wait for all the new season stuff to come out. These are a few items I've had my eye on for a little while;

1. Asos Native Rose Short in Geo Rose - These look really comfy for those hot summer days (that we wont get in England) and the pattern is super cool and on trend. They'll look good with plain tees and sandals for a casual day look, or add some heels and some jewellery and you can dress it up for night.

2. PacSun Fringe Kimono - I think Kimono's are really great summer items, although this black one isn't the summeriest. But on a cool summers night this will keep you warm, or at a festival this will keep you covered from the hot burning sun. I'd style this with skinny jeans or denim shorts and a plain vest or tee tucked in.

3. Asos Cami Top with Tribal Face - Big arty prints are set to be big this Spring/Summer and this monochrome cami is an easy way to do the trend. Paired with jeans, skirts, shorts, (anything really) this top will give it a twist and make any outfit look interesting.

4. Topshop Birkenstock Sandals in White - I love Birkenstock sandals, and I think these simple white ones can go with anything and everything, and with some vibrant nail varnish your feet will look super lovely.

5. PacSun High Rise Maxi Skirt - I've never owned a maxi skirt before, but this summer I really want one. The print on this is grungy and edgy and will look cool at a festival with ankle boots. The slits on both sides and the high rise also attracted me, cause they'll give you a bit of height if you're short like me.

6. Nasty Gal Jardin Lace Blouse Ivory - The simplicity of this blouse is really bohemian summer style and I'd pair it with a cool pair of jeans or tucked into high rise shorts. Lots of layered necklaces over the top adds some style, and it will be good to use as a cover up over a bikini on a hot beach.

7. Topshop MOTO High Waisted Denim Shorts - I already own a pair of these, in a darker denim, and you can't go wrong in a pair of these. Get the right size and they are really flattering, make your legs look really long and go with everything. I usually wear mine with my mint green vans and a tee tucked in. The bright denim will look awesome in the summer sun.

8. PacSun Cutout Leo Boots - Cutout boots are always a favourite for me, and I like the added detail of the leopard print. With some cute socks these will look really good, and they'll be great for less muddy festivals when you don't need your wellies. They'll also be a good buy for the whole year round, which is a bonus!

Check out the shops here:
PacSun - Kendall and Kylie Jenner have just designed a collection for them
Topshop - There's always a great find in there
Asos - A safe bet they'll have anything you want or need
Nasty Gal - Loads of cool stuff here, for all price ranges

Hope this gets you in the summery mood, and gives you guys a little bit of inspo.
Lots of love, Nikki. xxxxx

Zoƫ Jordan - Autumn Winter 14

You all know London Fashion Week has just been, and unfortunately I was not one of the privileged who got to go and indulge themselves in clothes, shoes and accessories that would have been everywhere. However, the internet is a great thing, and on their LFW website, you get to watch the highlights of each day from the comfort of your own home. And this is where I stumbled upon the Zoe Jordan A/W14 collection - I love the basic bold colours, and the big chunky black shoes all the models are wearing.

Check out all the highlights from LFW here

Hopefully, I will find the time to post more often. Sorry about the lack of posts recently!

New In: Topshop

Some favourite pieces new in at Topshop

APPLE Chunk Lace Up Boots
Metallic is going to be a huge trend this Spring/Summer, and the boots will look cute with any outfit.

Paint Animal Shirt
I really like the print on this shirt, and it will inject some colour with a simple pair of jeans.

Quilt Triangle Aline Skirt
Will look good with or without tights, boots or flats, if it's hot or cold.

ANNY Leopard Chelsea Boots
I love chelsea boots, and the blue leopard print gives it a twist. They'll jazz up any outfit.

V Neck Cutaway Crop Top
I really like how simple this could look, but the cutaway gives it an edge.

Wool Boyfriend Coat
Clearly not suitable for summer, but for those cold British Spring days this will be perfect. And the colour will definitely make you stand out from the crowd!
