Mini Haul

In a past post I said I'd given up shopping for lent, but as you've guessed from my last post I did break a week early (although I do think I still lasted the 40 days as I did start lent 2 weeks early). So in the past week I've bought a couple of things and I wanted to share them with you all.

First is this Sirene ring from Bleached Jewellery, it was £3.50 which I thought was a great price for the size. I fell in love with the cool rock stone thing on the ring, each ring is slightly different because they hand cut each stone when you order it. It also has a stretchy metal band, so you can alter it to fit any finger.

I featured these rings in my last post, and I thought they were really simple and easy to wear. They are from Topshop and online they are £6.50, but I actually got them for £2.50 in the sale at my local Topshop store, so it's probably best to pop into a store to see what they've got in their sale, you never know what you mind find; Topshop sales I find are very hit and miss. These 3 plain rings are also midi rings, as you can tell by the above photo, of my hand, and they look really cool with everything I've tried at the moment.

Another piece of jewellery is this necklace from Bleached Jewellery again, it was £3.50 so a bargain and it can be worn as a loose necklace but I like to wear it as a choker. I don't think they sell the Hamsa one anymore, but they have other versions of this necklace, and just loads of cool pieces that are worth checking out.

The first piece of clothing I got was this black a-symmetrical skirt from Topshop, that I can't actually find online, but it was £20 and I thought it was a great price for Topshop and for such a cool cut skirt. I find that cropped tops work better with this than tucking a regular shirt into it, but it looks really cool and edgy with certain pieces, for example my leather jacket.

From Motel Rocks I got this cool Boxy crop top, I love the colour and the pattern (I have a dress with the red version of this pattern) and it looks really cool with black bottoms and my chocker necklace. It was £25, but you can get a 20% discount with my discount code 'simpleenough'. I read the reviews and a lot of them mentioned the head hole being a bit tight to actually get over your head, but as I have a bigger than average head (yep, laugh at me) I didn't think much of it and with a regular sized head I'd imagine the hole would be fine. :D One thing that did worry me was that I ordered a medium, but got sent a small, but it actually fits perfectly and still covers the necessary areas.

Lastly, I got these New Look cut out chunky sandals, £27.99. I did want the lower strapped ones, but they had sold out in my size so bought the high topped ones, but I absolutely love them! I haven't actually worn these out the house yet as they got delivered this afternoon, but they are really comfortable so far and easy to walk in, and look really cool. One thing I would mention is that I got a size 5 but they are slightly too big. But other than that they are the perfect shoes for spring/summer as I can wear socks and tights with them when it's a bit chilly or bare footed when it's warmer.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I so much prefer talking about what I actually own; and if your nosey like me you'll enjoy these more personal posts too.
Don't forget I do have a Motel Rocks discount 'simpleenough' like I mentioned earlier, so use that to get 20% off all your orders, and I will be back again next week!

Lots of love, Nikki. xxxxx

OOTD - Topshop Skirt

Asymmetric Black Skirt - Topshop
Breton Stripe Top - H&M
Black chunky cut out shoes - River Island
Gold, Silver & Bronze Midi Rings - Topshop

I've finished my ban of no shopping, so I popped into Topshop yesterday as I had a gift card and bought this skirt, £20, and the pack of three midi rings, which were on sale for £2.50. I'm wearing this outfit today; with tights as it's a bit chilly; I'll add a leather jacket for a night look later on.

Black Boot Collection

I never post much about the things I actually own (as I'm too focused on what I want than the things I have). But I thought it'd be nice to mix it up and show you lovely guys some of my shoes; which are mostly black boots, the focus of todays post (and now I sound like a lecturer).

These are from River Island, and they are chunky black cut out ankle boots with gold buckle details. I can't find them online, so they might not sell them anymore, but I got them last October and they were around £40 I believe. I rarely wear these, but I do really like them, and after wearing them around in my room for a bit for this post I have rediscovered why I bought them. Personally, I think they look best with rolled up leggings or jeans, with cute little socks, but they work well with dresses and tights.

These are probably my most worn black boots, and they are from Boohoo.com. Again, I can't find them online, but Boohoo.com do so many different styles of cut out boots and at a really good price so I'd advise checking them out if you want some good cut out boots. I wear these with everything, and the cut out sides let's me show off my glittery socks that I love so much!

These are from New Look, and I got them around September 2012. The soles of one of these shoes is superglued on though, as these are not very waterproof, but I just wanted some black boots that were a bit edgy and different and these were a great price too. Again, New Look is a great place for affordable shoes!

I think these were my first proper heels, and I got them when I was like 15 (3 years ago) from New Look for a friends 16th birthday. I do love wedges, as they are super comfy, and I clearly like black and gold, so these are perfect for me. Although I do have quite wide feet, so I do get slight discomfort after wearing these for a long time. These are just really cute, and affordable and have lasted me a good time!

I believe these are from Daisy Street, and again I'm not sure of the price, but you can probably get this style of shoe in most high street stores. I just really liked the little stud buttony gold things all over the shoe, cause they look really cool. And they are actually so comfy! I last all night in these when I go out in them, and they slip on and off really easily. I also think these are good for day time, cause they are walkable and look cool with casual outfits.

So that is a bit of my shoe collection; I hope you liked this post, and hopefully I can do more like this. Also, I hope you appreciate my really cute fairy lights and purple carpet! :D
Lots of love, Nikki. xxxxx

Ps, I apologise for the mud on some of my boots. The weather in England has only started to dry up, and that mud is very stubborn! But you know, it gives a good worn look ;)

Kurt Geiger Boots

So, I was watching the beautiful Zoella on youtube and she was wearing the most amazing black heeled ankle boots I've seen in a while. And obviously, I had to know where they are from, and as she is amazing and knows what her viewers want, she had put in the video description that they are Kurt Geiger. This lead to me having a cheeky look at what they've got online at the moment, and I have choose my three favourite ankle boots that I basically wish I own!

First is the 'Stampede' KG Kurt Geiger black high heel ankle boot. They've got the cute little buckles, 9cm heel (thats 3.5 inches), the still on trend cut out so you can show off your cute little socks and I just think they'd basically go with everything. AND, they are now on sale online, so you better snap them up quick before they sell out completely!

Second on my list is the 'Stitch' Carvela Kurt Geiger black mid heel ankle boot. They're a more practical heel (7.5cm/2.9inches), they're pretty simple so again ca go with pretty much everything, and have a bit of a twist on the usual chelsea boot with the higher heel. You can also get them in brown, but black = chic.

Then lastly is the 'Vera' KG Kurt Geiger black high heel ankle boot. You can also get these in a much darker black, both are equally as edgy. The zip on the side giving it more of an edge, with the 12cm heel (4.5inches). But with the platform on the front it will give it a bit of extra comfort. These will definitely look great with skinny jeans, leather jackets, short mini dresses, anything you want to create a more edgy look with.

That's my top three, I shall start saving now so I can own them all soon! Check out the website for even more styles, there's something for everyone at Kurt Geiger.
